Choosing a child's education is one of the toughest tasks parents face. It is of such importance in the development of a child as well as being a financial investment in his or her future, that parents must research and study all available options to arrive at an informed decision. At Varee Chiangmai School, a team of 35 native English speakers and hundreds of Thai teachers and assistants have worked together over the past seven years to create unique and strong learning programmes as well as an environment suitable for a variety of parental and child preferences and requirements.

• Thai Programme (TP) Up to 30% of the syllabus is taught in English including Maths, Science, Arts and Social Studies. The goal is to maximise each child's personal potential and, by constant personal and academic evaluation, place them into classes to suit their language abilities. Teachers are Thai with a native speaker taking five of the seven English classes a week.
• English Programme (EP) With the exception of Thai lessons, all instruction is carried out by native speaking staff so students must have sufficient ability to learn in English at the appropriate level. Graduates from this programme have the potential to go on to further education in an English speaking environment or study in Thai universities. EP is available in Prathom 1 to Mattayom 3.
• The International Annexe (IA) has its own facilities and follows the highly respected Cambridge IGCSE curriculum, similar to that taught in British schools. Graduates of this modern, broad and challenging course will then be able to go on to the Advanced Level GCSE to complete their secondary education. Students graduating from this course have the widest opportunities for further education and careers, limited only by their individual aims and academic achievements. The International Annexe accepts students in Years 7 to 10.

In its seven years, Varee Chiangmai School has developed an enviable reputation in Chiang Mai and beyond as a school with unparalleled facilities. Our teaching staff of over 200, include around 15% native English speaking teachers who teach their own specialist subjects to comparatively small classes.

Retaining the uniqueness of being Thai, whether it be language skills, etiquette, cultural knowledge and history is of great importance at VCS and taught to all students alike.

Support is offered for students who need it by the school's team of Thai teachers who can assist in each class as well as Home Room hours which offer homework and other extra support.
