VAREE CHIANGMAI SCHOOL

Varee Chiangmai School’s Volleyball team of 18 and under has brought fame once again. The team won 1^st Place Champion over the opponents and will represent Chiang Mai Province in Thailand National Student Games which will be held in Chiang Rai, December 2011.

 

Sports Authority of Thailand and Chiang Mai Office of Tourism and Sports has organised Student Volleyball Tournaments to find a representative team of Chiang Mai that will be played in Thailand National Student Sports Competition from 4^th – 13^th September 2011. Boys Volleyball team of Varee Chiangmai School has won 1^st Place and 1^st Runner-up Champions from the final match against Lanna Polytechnical College at Physical Education Building, Chiang Mai Physical Education College.

 

For the first round game of the tournament, Varee Chiangmai School played against the team from Wachirawit School Chiangmai and won by 2-0 set. Varee Chiangmai Team also won Debsirin School by 2-0 set, Chiangmai College of Agriculture and Technology by 2-0 set, and achieved 1^st Place for the tournament group. In the second round, Varee Chiangmai Team played against Phrao Wittayakom School and with strong move, Varee Chiangmai Team managed to secure their victory with 2-0 set. With 4 teams in the last round, Varee Chiangmai Team defeated Nawamin Rachuthit Payap School with the score 2-0 set moving into the final game with Lanna Polytechnical College. Varee Chiangmai School secured their victory by winning over at 2-1 set with the scores of each set: 25-20, 22-25, and 15-12. Won 1^st Place Champion Trophy and be named the representative team of Chiang Mai Province to play at national level in the upcoming event.
