A new program for upper-secondary students in collaboration with the International College of Digital Innovation, Chiang Mai University

Nowadays, technology has become an important part in our daily life and in conducting businesses to connect to different groups and networks, of which digital technology systemswill have huge roles in the future. Big data, artificial intelligence (AI), and robots are likely going to replacehuman’s roles and new types of businesses are going to emerge. For students to be ready for these businesses and changes in the near future, Varee Chiangmai School believes that it was important to open a new learning program that supports these possible careers. At the same time, the International College of Digital Innovation, Chiang Mai University (ICDI) has a plan to open a new course that aims to provide students with necessary skills for future careers. This matches the vision of our school. Therefore, in academic year 2019, the school signs an agreement with the ICDI to open a joint-study program for upper-secondary students (secondary 4 - 6) which provide additional subjects to the school curriculum under the name “International Digital Innovation Program (IDIP)”. This science-based program is taught in English throughout. Any students who finish the program with results that pass the ICDI’s criteria may apply to study at the college by submitting through TCAS in the direct admissions system and, if accepted, the credits can be transferred to fundamental courses (GE) of the first year of the university for no more than 5 courses.
