On 21 September 2013, Varee Chiangmai School was a host for a Student Arts and Crafts competition for Academic Year 2013, in the Secondary Educational Service Area Office 34, Chiang Mai. This competition aims to provide the chance for students to express their competency freely and creatively through various activities. This is also to develop their morality and ethics and promoting democrat and desirable characteristics in accordance with the curriculum. It was a qualified round to find the winners to compete in the regional level on a later date.

 
In the competition, there were different competitions such as Impromptu Speech, Spelling Bee, Story Telling, Multi skills, Skit, ASEAN Quiz, French Speech, Chinese Speech and Japanese Speech. There are two levels in each competition, they are Lower Secondary Level and Upper Secondary Level.
