On the special occasion for reaching 9th year of Varee Chiangmai School and The Day of Pride which is the day for students to showcase their academic success on December 2nd, 2011.  
 

Mrs. Varee Patravanich, the director of Varee Chiangmai School, gave an opening speech in the opening ceremony to give students with the encouragement and pride on their projects and exhibitions. With the performance “ASEAN ruam jai” and the glider aircrafts of different shapes such as superman, panda and a gigantic helicopter that have spiced up the event and brought smiles and excitement for everyone who have attended the event. During the full-day event of The Day of Pride 2011, students organised exhibitions and presentations to show their work and projects to their parents. There are singing and dancing competitions between mattayom students from schools all over Chiang Mai. This gives students with opportunity to perform and share their talents on stage. Moreover, students were able to organise their own showcase to express their creativity, innovative thoughts and to have pride in their progress and coursework such as Science Project, Mathematics, Social Studies, ICT, Music, Arts, PE and foreign languages. Students also involved in opening shops and market to sell food and drinks around the stage. 

To encourage students in continuing their good behaviour and excellent class participations as well as to achieve excellent grades both in Thai and English Programme, award and certificates are given out to best students who have achieve excellent academic results. Award and scholarships are also given out for students who have helped and be a good citizen in the society as well as those who have been awarded in the national competitions in the academic year. Award, scholarships and certificates were given out by Mrs. Varee Patravanich, the director of Varee Chiangmai School.

In the final moment of the event, in the honour of His Majesty the King, over 2000 students, teachers and parents light candles to celebrate in the honourable occasion of 84th Anniversary of His Majesty the King to mark the closing of the ceremony with fireworks and lantern launching after Thai Royal Anthem.
